Poet

Poetry plays an important role in Persian culture and in Afghanistan as well. Poetry is also an important part of my life.

I hold a master degree in Persian Literature.
In Afghanistan, I organized and participated in many events of the Literary Association of Herat and Kabul as well as a range of Sufism Festivals in India and Afghanistan.

Load Poems Like Guns is the powerful title of the poem that especially gained momentum after the fall of Afghanistan and the return of Taliban-rule to the country. In 2023 it became the pillar that carries the House of Poetry in Exile BaamDaad.

My Poem
is not discovery, metaphor, or fantasy
I just say;
I am from Afghanistan
and
You are crying
This is my book!

Her poems direct social issues, particularly issues related to violence against women, underage or forced marriage, poverty and the impact of extremism and war. Her poems engage with socio-political themes and display a strong skill for irony.
